My Son's Bike

My son built and painted this bike. He taught himself how to do it. That's typical of homeschoolers, you know! He's considering selling it.

Karla, I followed the link here from Randy's blog, because I wondered if anyone had answered the question about conferences you posted a few days ago. I haven't attended one yet. There is one held in my state (OR) each summer by the Oregon Christian Writers group, which I decided against this year. I wonder if your state has a Christian writing organization like that?
I'm hoping to save up and attend the ACFW next fall. It's expensive, to me. I'll only go if I can save enough $ without cutting off any of my kids limbs.
But one thing I wanted to let you know was that even if you don't plan to attend the ACFW, there are tons of helpful resources on their website as a member (are you? it's $50 per year). One thing I noticed on their site was a page dedicated to surviving your first conference, and answered the questions you asked, like approaching editors, what to wear, etc. That might at least answer some of your questions.
Keep me posted if you want, I'd be interested to hear what you find.
And on another note...my next novel will have a main character chick on a harley. I may ask if I can pick your brain about her ride, when the time comes. (I love Harleys, but I don't have one, haven't even ridden one in years.)
